STUDIO ART NOTES

Portfolio Preparation (Art 440) will be offered during the fall 2007 semester.

The studio curriculum offers a variety of courses that enable students to develop and improve their artistic abilities. Two and three-dimensional foundations provide introductions to design and the major studio arts. Beginning and advanced classes are offered in drawing, painting, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking and photography. Studio students have the opportunity to show their work in a March annual exhibitions and seniors exhibit their work in April. The Art department curriculum is ever-evolving and aims to enhance and deepen each student's expertise in all areas of art. All - including introductory level - courses are taught by specialists. Small class sizes ensure a close working relationship with faculty and access to studios and equipment.
