The Society of Physics Students is a national professional physics association explicitly designed for students. SPS was created in 1968 to serve the interests of physics undergraduate and graduate students. At present there are over 600 active chapters of SPS on campuses across the country.

Membership is open to anyone interested in physics. If you are interested in SPS at Concordia contact one of the Concordia Chapter officers or the faculty advisor.

The Concordia College SPS officers for the 05-06 school year are:

  • President: Jason Miller
  • Vice-president: Matt Kleber
  • Treasurer: Matt Inman

Faculty Advisor: Dr. Alice Churukian

Concordia also has a chapter of the Sigma Pi Sigma Honor Society. This is a national honor society for students who demonstrate exceptional talent in physics.
