Cobbers win 79-73 at Valley City State

Concordia led most of the way at Valley City tonight and came through with a 79-73 win over Valley City State University. Concordia led 44-40 at the half. Forward Joe Ford led the 2-1 Cobbers with 21 points. Junior guard Nick Killoran added 14 points, 6 assists and 5 steals.  Sophomore post Jeff Ubben had 11 points for the Cobbers.

Valley City, which fell to 1-8 on the year, was led by Jay Kocka's 17 points.

The Cobbers open MIAC play Saturday at 3:00 at Augsburg in Minneapolis.
