Concordia's Nick Killoran hit a 15 foot jumper at the buzzer to seal a Cobber comeback victory in Moorhead tonight over Carleton. The Cobbers improved to 1-1 in the MIAC, 3-2 overall. Carleton fell to 3-2, overall, 0-2 in the MIAC.
The Cobbers trailed by as much at 14 early in the second half but battled back to take the lead at 61-60 with just over five minutes left.
Killoran finished with 14 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds. Joe Ford led the Cobbers in scoring with 19. Cobber Matt Anderson was a major key to victory, pressuring Carleton's outstanding freshman point guard, Scott Christensen, into 5-15 shooting and limiting him to just two assists. Carlton's Mike Binder led the Knight's scoring with 23.
