UND FINISHES SECOND AT SIOUX INVITATIONAL

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota women’s golf team finished second with a score of 341 at the Sioux Invitational at the Grand Forks Country Club. Concordia College was first with a 334 while North Dakota State was third (360) and Moorhead State was fourth (367). Concordia’s Jenni Kovash earned medalist honors as she fired an 80. Jolene Solheim and Kelly Smith were the Sioux’s top finishers as they tied for third with an 84. UND’s Lindsay Johnson was seventh with an 86.

The Sioux are off until Friday, Sept. 10, when they travel to Detroit Lakes, Minn., for the Cobber Open hosted by Concordia College. The Sioux then play in the Concordia Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 11-12. All three days of competition will be played at the Wildflower Golf Course in Detroit Lakes.
