Concordia won 2-0 at Augsburg tonight to run their MIAC record to 3-5 in the MIAC,  9-5 overall. Augsburg fell to 1-7 in the MIAC,  2-13 overall.

Game Summary:
MINNEAPOLIS (10/20/99) -- Julie Fretheim (Sr., Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of play, leading her Concordia College-Moorhead women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over host Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest at Anderson-Nelson Field.

Fretheim lofted a shot from 20 yards out off an assist from Allison Smith (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) with 9:59 remaining in the game to break a scoreless deadlock, then scored on a direct free kick with 1:28 remaining to ice the win.

Concordia outshot the Auggies 10-3, as they controlled the action in Augsburg's end most of the way. Katie Cheese (So., Shakopee, Minn.) made eight saves for the Auggies, while Kathy Braun (So., Willmar, Minn.) made two saves in a shutout effort.

Concordia, now 9-5 overall and 3-5 in the MIAC, plays at Methodist (N.C.) on Saturday, while Augsburg (2-13 overall, 1-7 MIAC) hosts St. Mary's on Oct. 28.
