Haley Groce So. Sheridan, Wyom. Scored the first and last goals in Concordia's 5-0 win over Northland College.

9/02 Concordia Powers Past Northland College 5-0.
Concordia used a four-goal second half to power past Northland College 4-0 in the final game of the St. John's tournament. Haley Groce (So., Sheridan, Wyom.) and Kendra Lee (Jr., Jamestown, N.Dak.,) combined for four goals, as the Cobbers upped their season record to 2-0. Groce scored the game-winner, her first of the year at 33:34 of the first half and that lead held up until halftime. The Cobbers scored shortly after the break when senior co-captain Marijka Belgum-Gabbert (Winona, Minn.) finished off a crossing ball from Meghan Hansen (Jr., Eagan, Minn.). Lee tallied twice within ten minutes midway through the half and Groce finished the scoring with her second goal of the game at 73:13.

Kathy Braun (Sr., Willmar, Minn.) earned her second consecutive shutout, stopping all six shots that she faced. Concordia out shot Northland 26-9. The Cobbers travel to Decorah, Iowa to play in the Luther College tournament on September 8-9.
