Concordia had 14 wrestlers compete at the Dickinson Invite. The team was led by William Duppler (Fr., Valley City, N. Dak.) who finished third in the heaveyweight division. He finished the meet with a 4-1 record. Fellow first-year grappler Dennis Kline (Fr., Plymouth, Minn.) also finished well at the invite. He competed in the 197-pound division and finished with a 3-1 mark.

Duppler continues to improve in his first year as a Cobber wrestler. He has posted an 18-12 overall mark, and finished well in the St. Cloud State Invite and the Citrus Open, held in Florida over the holiday break. Both tournaments featued top wrestlers from NCAA Division II and III programs. Duppler's 18 wins are the most by a Concordia athlete since the 1996-97 when All-American Nathan Reiff finished with 21 wins. Kline's overall record is 17-10. Both athletes have a chance to break Reiff's first-year record of 21 wins.
