Cobbers Finish Second at Cobber Duals.
Kristine Jensen (Fr., Pierz, Minn.) extends to make her landing in the triple jump. Jensen finished with a mark of  31-0 1/2 .

Led by a strong distance corps of runners Concordia finished second at the annual Cobber Duals meet with a record of 4-1. Jamestown College completed a perfect 5-0 sweep to win the meet. Concordia lost to Jamestown (107-80) but recorded wins over Northern State (95-65), Bemidji State (116-49), Valley City State (117-29) and North Dakota School of Science (108-51).

The distance runners that won events for Concordia were Liz Sorenson (Jr., Stanley, N.Dak.) in the 1500, Katie Martin (Jr., Bozeman, Mont.) in the 3000 and the distance medley relay team of Sorenson, Kendra Lee (Jr., Jamestown, N.Dak.), Carrie Franson (Fr., Coleharbor, N.Dak.) and Martin. The Cobbers also received strong performances from Lee who finished second in the 800, Beth Moen (Sr., Andover, Minn.) who finished second in the 1500 and 3000, Tarah Maatz (So., Olivia, Minn.) who finished third in the 55 meter hurdles and Mariah Mougey (Jr., Enderlin, N.Dak.) who finished second  in the weight throw, and provisionally qualified for nationals, with a toss of 45-8.

Concordia returns to action next weekend when they participate in the Beaver Pentathlon at Bemidji State on Friday,  Feb. 8th and then host the Cobber Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 9th at 1:00.
