Cobbers Finish Second at MIAC Championships.

Moorhead, Minn. Won the long jump at the MIAC Championship Meet. She also finished 2nd in the 100 meters and 5th in the 200 meters..

ST. PETER -- Concordia finished second at the MIAC Track and Field Championships with 127 points. It is the second straight year that the Cobbers have finished in the runner-up spot. That total was 19 points behind meet champion St. Thomas, who ended the meet with 146 points, and 22.5 points better than third place Carleton.

Event winners for Concordia at the two-day meet were Kelli Tranby (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) in the long jump, Mariah Mougey (Jr., Enderlin, N.Dak.) in the hammer throw and Nicole Plante (Fort Benton, Mont.) in the javelin. Tranby also finished second in the 100 meter dash and fifth in the 200 meters.

The Cobbers went 1-2 in the javelin as Alison Routledge (Sr., Williston, N.D.) finished second to Plante. Other runner-up finishes included Beth Moen (Sr., Andover, Minn.) in the 10000 meter run, Annie Knierem (Jr., Glasgow, Mont.) who finished second in the triple jump and third in the long jump and Kristina Hall (So., Minot, N.D.) in the 400 meter hurdles.
