Kelli Tranby Earns All-American Honors in the Long Jump at Nationals.

Moorhead, Minn. Finished 5th in the long jump at the NCAA National Meet with a jump of 18'7.25". The leap earns her All-American honors. 

Kelli Tranby (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) saved her best meet for last, as she jumped a personal-best 18'7.25" in the finals of the long jump at the NCAA Division III National Meet at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. Her fifth place finish earns her All-American honors, a first in her career. She is the first All-American for Concordia since Maria DeBoer ('00, Pine Island, Minn.) finished eighth in the discus in 2000.

Tranby finished first in her flight in the preliminaries with a jump of 18'4.25".
The jump placed her fourth overall and qualified her for the finals with eight other competitors. In the finals she jumped 18'7.25", which is a personal best for Tranby and also the second best jump in school history.

Mariah Mougey Does Not Make the Finals in the Hammer Throw.
Concordia's Mariah Mougey (Jr., Enderlin, N.Dak.) narrowly missed making the finals in the hammer throw at the NCAA Division III National Track and Field Meet. Her throw of 152-11 in preliminary round was three feet short of qualifying her for the finals.

Qualified for the NCAA National Meet in the long jump.

Qualified for the NCAA National Meet in the hammer throw. 

Concordia women's track and field athletes Kelli Tranby (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) and Mariah Mougey (Jr., Enderlin, N.Dak.) have qualified for the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championship Meet. It will be the first outdoor national meet for Tranby, but the second trip for Mougey. She also qualified for the national meet in the discus as a first year athlete in 2000 - she did not the make the finals in the event.

Tranby will compete in the long jump, qualifying with a leap of 18-6 on April 28th at the NDSU Open. Her mark places her 16th among all qualifiers. She has won the past two long jump events at the MIAC Outdoor Championship Meet. Mougey qualified for the hammer throw with a toss of 155-6 at the UW-Oshkosh qualifier last weekend. She is also in the 16th spot heading into the national meet. She won the hammer throw at the MIAC Outdoor Championship Meet with a toss of 146-5.

The national meet will be held on May 23-25 at Macalester College in St. Paul. The hammer throw competition will take place on Thursday, May 23rd while the long jump competition will be held on Friday, May 24th. For complete details see the .
