Cobbers Stay Perfect in MIAC, Top Augsburg 3-1.

MINNEAPOLIS (9/24/03) -- Suzy Grabko
(Fr., Fargo, N.Dak./Fargo North HS) scored a goal and added two assists
on Wednesday, leading Concordia College-Moorhead to a 3-1 win over host
Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's
soccer game at Augsburg's Edor Neson Field.
Grabko put the Cobbers ahead with an unassisted goal on a 25-yard free kick in the 57th minute, and seven minutes later, she assisted on a goal by Piper DeLaPointe (Fr., Fargo, N.D./North HS) to cap the victory.
Concordia remained unbeaten in MIAC play at 3-0 with the win, improving to 6-1 overall. Augsburg dropped to 5-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in MIAC play.
The Cobbers got on the board in the eighth minute, as Morgan Bain (Fr., Hugo, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) put home a rebound from a Grabko shot that hit the crossbar.
Augsburg tied the game in the 19th minute, as Eilidh Reyelts (So., Duluth, Minn./Duluth Marshall HS) scored her first goal of the season on a rebound from a shot by Millie Suk(So., Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS), to make a 1-1 knot at halftime.
In the 57th minute, Grabko put home her fourth goal of the season on a free kick, and in the 64th minute, DeLaPointe scored her third goal of the year on feeds from Grabko and Carmelle Johnson (Jr., Northridge, Calif./Hamilton HS).
Jamie Savage (Jr., Apple Valley, Minn./Rosemount HS) made four saves in goal for the Cobbers.
Suk had three shots on goal among her team-high six shots for the Auggies, while Bain led the Cobbers with seven shots, three on goal.
Both teams return to MIAC action on Saturday
(9/27). Augsburg plays at St. Mary's at 3:15 p.m., while Concordia plays
at Carleton at 1 p.m.
