Scott Lucier Named Assistant Football Coach at Concordia-Moorhead
Concordia athletic director, Dr. Armin Pipho, announced today that Scott Lucier has been named as an assistant football coach and athletic recruiting coordinator. Lucier, a 1991 Concordia graduate, has most recently served as the defensive coordinator at Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota.
Lucier will replace Terry Horan, who left the Cobber staff in May after two years at Concordia. Horan is returning to the Breckenridge (Minn.) school system where he will serve as a junior high dean of students and head football coach at Breckenridge High School. Lucier will begin his duties at Concordia on July 6.
Concordia head coach Jim Christopherson has not yet announced specific on-field coaching duties for Lucier.
Lucier, originally from Frenchtown, Mont., earned a degree in biology and education from Concordia. He has recently completed his masters degree work in education at Southwest State.
Lucier served from May of 1995 to May of 1999 as an assistant football coach at Southwest State. He was appointed defensive coordinator at Southwest State in January of 1999. Lucier also served as head strength and conditioning coach at Southwest State from January of 1997 through May of 1999.
From September of 1993 until January of 1997 Scott taught junior high science in the Marshall School District and also helped coach football, wrestling and track.
