The Concordia women's golf team has earned an invitation to the Division II-III NCAA Tournament in Florida May 12-15. They will leave for the tourney Sunday, May 9, with practice rounds Monday and Tuesday. The Cobbers finished tied for 6th last year at this combined Division II-III National Championship.

CHAMPIONSHIPS SITE:

The 1999 NCAA Divisions II and III Women's Golf Championships will be held May 12-15 at Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort, Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida and will be hosted by the Sunshine State Conference and the Central Florida Sports Commission.

CHAMPIONSHIPS STRUCTURE:

A total of 63 participants have been selected for the competition. The championships will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently. All participants will compete throughout the entire 72 holes of competition.

DEFENDING CHAMPIONS:

Methodist won the team championship in 1998 and Florida Southern second. The championship was played at The Meadows in Allendale, Michigan, and was hosted by Grand Valley State University. Shanna Nagy of Florida Southern was the medalist.
