Sun River's Tim Lowry earns All-MIAC honors as leader of Cobbers' strong offensive line

Tim Lowry earned his first selection to the All-MIAC team this year and anchored an offensive line that provided outstanding protection for its quarterbacks and running backs. Concordia, 8-2-1 overall, 7-1-1 in the MIAC, won a share of the conference title and advanced the playoffs.

Lowry, the 6' 4" 260 lb. senior offensive tackle, was one of the most experienced Cobbers on the offensive line after moving into a starting position for the last two years. He progressed into a player who was equally strong at run as well as pass blocking.

Lowry, a 1992 graduate of Simms high school, is a physical education and health major. He is the son of Steve and Coral Lowry of Sun River, Mont.

The Cobbers' big offensive line, led by Lowry, formed large holes in opposing defenses as Concordia ran away with the rushing title averaging 266 yards per game and a total of 2,962 yards for the year. The team in second place had fifty less yards per game.
