Netmen narrowly miss first-place finish
Concordia's tennis team finished in a three-way tie for second place in the MIAC championship, with Brent Reichert as the Cobber team's number one netman.
Reichert, from Crookston, MN, who will be a junior next year, was the outstanding singles player for Concordia with a 26-6 won-lost season record.
Cobber coach Bob Nick felt the unfortunate loss of singles star Kent Stadum to injury, which kept him off the courts most of the season, hurt the Cobbers' chances of finishing better.
Gustavus Adoiphus was the MIAC tennis champion for 1977.
