  Track teams include many All-Conference, All-American picks

Top honors were earned by the Concordia women's track and field team, which finished fourth in the conference.

The 10 athletes named to the All-Conference team were freshmen Tammy Peterson, Ada, Minn.; and Voni Arndt, Vail, Cob.; sophomores Kris DeBoer, Pine Island, Minn.; Kim Paulson, Libby, Mont.: and Diana Birkie, Billings, Mont.; and juniors Ann McKenna, Moorhead; Michelle Jolie, McFarland, Wis.; Heidi Licke, Deer River, Minn.; and Tammy Krell and Mary Line, both of Verndale, Minn.

McKenna was honored for scholastic achievements when she was named to the academic AlI-Confere team. DeBoer set a school record of 36' 5" in the triple jump, and Krell set a school record time of 1:03.29 in the 400-meter hurdles.

Six of the women athletes participated in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III meet, where they tied for 18th place with 12 points.

Krell plaed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles, and Krell Line, Arndt and McK placed sixth in the 1,600 meter relay. Jolie placed sixth in discus. Line also placed seventh in the hep tathlon, and DeBoer partici pated in the long jump event.

MeKenna, Arndt, Line, Krell and Jolie were named All-American athletes for their performances at the national meet.
