9/5/98 Cobbers win 4-2 in opener over Briar Cliff at Collegeville.

Matt Hockett scores three goals and had an assist as Concordia topped Briar Cliff 4-2 in the Cobbers' season opener today at the St. John's Tournament in Collegeville, MN. Concordia is now 1-0. Briar Cliff fell to 2-1.
Forrest Olson added a goal and an assist for the Cobbers in todays win. Mike McMullen had two assists and Joshua Bergeron and Joel Stone had one each.
The Cobbers take on Northland of Wisconsin tomorrow at 2:00. Northland was a 3-0 loser to St. John's today.
