Season Outlook/Notes:
St. Olaf lost one of their key players in Anne Chicos to graduation, but they return the rest of their starters and impact players this season. Erin Collins returns as the team’s sole All-MIAC performer and co-captain this season, and also averaged 10.3 points per game. Natalie Siefer, who has been an All-MIAC performer in previous years, returns after only playing in 9 games last season. Siefer led the team in points per game with 11.4.
Ann Schultz, the other co-captain, tallied 9.2 points per game and contributed with 113 rebounds on the year. Jana Ferguson and Lara Giebelstein round out the group of talented seniors who look to bring both leadership and poise to the 98-99 Ole squad. This year’s team has played many games together and have the team bond and chemistry that every coach dreams about.
Coach Pat Buresh will be looking to add to the successes of last year’s
team that finished 15-10 overall and 13-8 in the MIAC. With a fifth place
finish and losing only two seniors to graduation, the Oles are poised to
continue improving in the win-loss category and climbing the MIAC conference
ladder.
