Siverson guided the Cobbers to their sixth straight MIAC championship this past fall, and in the spring helped the team achieve their second straight national NCAA Division III runner-up finish. The Cobbers have dominated the MIAC conference championship meet, winning the title in seven times in the eight year history of the tournament. Siverson was named the Minnesota Golf Coaches' Coach of the Year in 1995-96, 1998-99 and 1999-2000. He was also MIAC Coach of the Year in 1998 and 1999. He is a member of the NCAA Division III Regional Committee for Women's Golf, and is currently on the National Division III Awards Committee . He recently received the 15-year merit award from the National Golf Coaches Association. 5/21 Concordia Golfers Earn Postseason Honors.
Concordia standout golfers Jenni Kovash (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) and Jill Conrad (Fr., Richland, Wash.) were named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American team. Kovash earned second team honors, while Conrad capped an impressive run in the spring by being placed on the third team. Kovash and teammates Maria Amlen (Sr., Stockholm, Sweden) and Tanya Ulvin (So., Roseau, Minn.) were also named to the NGCA Scholar All-American team. For Kovash it is the second straight year that she has earned both All-American and Scholar All-American honors. The two awards cap an impressive career at Concordia where she finished no lower than sixth at the three MIAC championships she participated in, and in the top 30 of all three national tournaments. She led the Cobbers to back-to-back second place finishes at the NCAA Division III Championship meets, and was a three-time MIAC academic all-conference award winner. Conrad earns All-American honors in her first season at Concordia. She ended the spring on a tear by finishing fourth at the Minnesota State Meet, winning the Bemidji Spring Meet and finishing in a tie for 10th place at the national meet. The Cobber team score of 1,264 sets a school record for the lowest team total in a national championship. It is the third time in school history the team has finished second at the national tournament. The Cobbers were led by first year golfer Jill Conrad (Richland, WA) who shot a 75 in the final round to finish with a 313 which was good for a tie for 10th place. Jenni Kovash (Sr., Moorhead, MN) shot a final round 78 to finish in a tie for 13th at 315. Senior Maria Amlen (Stockholm, Sweden) finished her career by shooting a 79 to cap her 317 total, which was good for 17th place. MIAC medalist Liz Meschke (Fr., Pequot Lakes, Minn.) shot an 87 to finish at 333. She ended the tournament in a tie for 40th. Tanya Ulvin (So., Roseau, MN) rounded out the Cobber team by firing an 80 in the final round. 5/07 Concordia Earns Sixth Straight NCAA Championship Bid.
This past fall the Cobbers captured their sixth straight MIAC title, and ninth in the past ten years. The team returns three players from last year's runner-up finish at the Division III championships. Concordia won six out of the nine tournaments they entered this year, and are currently ranked third in the nation. The championships will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently. All participants will compete throughout the entire 72 holes of competition. In the team competition, the low four scores for each team will count in each day's total score. The number of participants allowed at the finals is 60. A team can consist of four players. 5/01 Concordia Cruises Past Bemidji State. 4/28 Concordia Finishes Second at the Minnesota State Championships. Concordia lost the team title at the Minnesota State Championships by a single stroke to host MSU-Mankato 667-668. Senior Jenni Kovash (Moorhead, Minn.) fired a 164 (79-85) to finish in second place, six strokes behind medalist Kasey Aanensonx of MSU-Mankato who shot a 158 (81-77). Besides Kovash - Maria Amlen (Sr. Stockholm, Sweden) and Jill Conrad (Fr., Richland, WA) also finished in the top ten to earn All-State honors. Amlen and Conrad finished tied for fourth with identical 168 scores. Liz Meschke (Fr., Pequot Lakes, Minn.) was named the First Year Player of the Year, as she shot a 175 (84-91) for the two-day tournament. Concordia will travel to Bemidji on Tuesday to play in the Bemidji Spring Meet. They will then wait to see if they will earn a bid to play in the NCAA Division III National Tournament which will be held on May 15-18 in Decatur, Ill.. 4/27 Concordia Leads After 1st

10/18 Concordia Finishes Third
in Prestigious Lenoir-Rhyne Tournament.
The Moccasins, which led by 12 strokes after the first round, shot a two-day score of 638 - 30 strokes better than the University of Northern Colorado, which was in fourth place after the first day. Concordia (Minn.) College finished third at 670, while Lynn (Fla.) University was fourth (681) and Grand Valley State (Mich.) University finished fifth (683). Host Lenoir-Rhyne was sixth in the 15-team field with a 685 score. Florida Southern had all five of its golfers finished in the top eight. Lisa Ball won the tournament with a two-round score of 154 over the par-72, 6,008-yard layout. She edged out Concordia’s Liz Meschke (Fr., Pequot Lakes, MN) who finished with a 158. The Moccasins’ Rachel Bell was in third place at 160, followed by Northern Colorado’s Cecilia Rubeling and Lynn’s Courtney Krell who finished tied for fourth at 161. 10/13 The Concordian, Golf

Dating back to 1991 the Cobbers have won the MIAC
eight times and been NCAA National Runners-up twice. During that time frame
the Cobbers have had over 30 All-MIAC performers, and have placed 12 golfers
on All-American teams.
