10/5 Cobbers Finish Third at MIAC Championships.
For the second straight year, Concordia finished third at the MIAC Championship Meet. Also for the second consecutive year the Cobbers finished behind MIAC champion St. Thomas and runner-up Gustavus. This year's tournament, played at The Fairways Golf Club in St. Could, was cut short on the second day due to rain and severe weather.
Concordia's Katie Taylor (Jr., Owatonna, Minn.) posted a final score of 127 to finish in fifth place and earn all-conference honors for the first time in her career. The only other two Cobbers to crack the top 20 were Jill Larson (Jr., Rothsya, Minn.) who finished tied for 11th with a 134 and first-year standout Rachel Broten (Roseau, Minn.) who shot a 138 which was good for a tie for 16th.

Concordia junior Katie Taylor (Owatonna, Minn.) was named the MIAC Women's Golfer of the Week.
Taylor posted scores of 77 and 80 to take second at the Dragon/Bison Invitational this past weekend. Taylor's efforts helped the Cobbers to their first team title of the season, as they won the eight-team event by 10 strokes over a Division II dominated field.
Taylor leads Concordia with an 80.6 stroke average this season. Her runner-up finish marked the second time this fall that she has finished second. She was also runner-up at the season-opening Cobber Open.
