Concordia-Moorhead Captures Minnesota Women's Golf Tourney
BEMIDJI--Christie
Strecker helped lead Concordia-Moorhead to the
Minnesota Women's Golf Tournament Championship with a field-leading
162
after the two-day event as the Cobbers edged out Mankato State for
the team
title.
Strecker,
who led after day one at the Bemidji Town and Country
Club with a 78, bounced back to card an 84 at the Tianna Town and Country
Club today in Walker, Minn.
Mankato State took an early
lead after day one of the Minnesota
Women's Golf Tournament with a first-place team total and three individuals
in the tournament's Top 5, but Concordia-Moorhead made up a four-stroke
team deficit to win the crown today.
Concordia's Jill
Carlin won the tiebreaker for a second-place
finish (88-78--166), followed by Casey Anenson (81-85--166) and Kellie
Catron (79-87--166) of Mankato State.
