MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/09/08)-- Due to severe winter weather, Concordia had to stay at home on Saturday. The Cobbers were able to compete against MSU Moorhead in a dual meet and fell 99-84 to the Dragons.

In the meet, Concordia had only two event winners and had both relays post second-place finishes. The Cobbers also had several top five finishes on the day.

Sarah Sorvaag and Hailey Brenden were the only event-winners for CC. Sorvaag recorded a distance of 45-10.75 in the weight throw and won the event by almost three feet. Brenden paced the field in the 3000 meters and won by over 30 seconds. Her time of 11:01.33 was the fastest of the season.

Both the 4x200-meter relay team and the 4x400-meter relay squad finished second. the 4x200 team of Tara Ray, Kristina Bruns, Macey Bentley and Amanda Bakken ran a 1:56.08 and the 4x4 squad of Leah Kay, Katlin Anderson, Ray and Kristin Slette clocked a 4:20.51.

Concordia will compete in the Bison Classic on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m.
