The Cobbers had two other players in double figures for the game. Sara Sorbo had 13 points while Maggie Bauernfiend added 11 points and five rebounds.

The Flying Dutch, who extended their regular season winning streak to 24 games, were led by Jenny Cowen who was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line and finished with a game-high 19 points. Hope 6-2 center Courtney Knox had a monster game as she went for 14 points and 16 rebounds to record her third career double-double.

The two teams combined to shoot 55 free throws in a game that featured 46 total fouls. Concordia was 21-for-27 (77.8%) from the line but that paled in comparison to the 85.7% (24-for-28) that the Flying Dutch shot from the free throw line. Hope held a 39-32 edge in rebounding. Both teams struggled through their first game of the season and committed a total of 51 turnovers. CC had 25 miscues while the Flying Dutch turned the ball over 26 times.

Concordia was also done in by a cold shooting hand in the first half. The Cobbers were 1-for-7 from outside the arc in the first 20 minutes of play. CC finished the game by shooting 22.2% (4-for-18) from long distance. From the field they were 23-for-58 (39.7%). Hope shot 44.1% (26-for-59)  from the floor and 45.5% (5-for-11) from 3-point distance.
