Meet Recap
MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/13/09)--Concordia won nine of the 10 individual matches against St. Olaf and waltzed to a 40-3 win over the Oles in Moorhead on Friday. The win is the fifth straight to start the season for the Cobbers and 15th in the past 15 dual meets in the past two seasons.

For the season Concordia has won five straight and has scored at least 40 points in the last three dual matches. In those three matches, the Cobbers have lost only two individual matches. In the past 40 individual matches, CC has lost only four times.

Concordia won the first four matches of the dual meet against the Oles (0-1). The four wins gave Concordia a 15-0 lead. The early-match run was capped by Justin Berns who came away with a pin fall at 2:26 in his match at 149. The win keeps Berns unbeaten on the season at 5-0.

The only other pin for the Cobbers came at 184 where No.1-ranked Phil Moenkedick recorded his third pin of the year at 1:37. Moenkedick is now 5-0 on the year and 40-1 in the past two years.

Cobber junior Ross Dankers recorded the only other non-decision. Dankers posted a 10-2 major decision at 174 and is now 5-0 on the year and has three pins and a major decision on his stat sheet.

The other decision wins for Concordia were recorded by Daron Hohbein, Mike Holman, Ben Anderson and Lane Lunde. Freshmen Nathan Schmitz and Tom Bouressa earned forfeit wins at the end of the match to bring the final margin to 37 points.

The Cobbers will head over the river and compete at the NDSU Bison Open on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m.
