JAMESTOWN, N.D. (10/01/10)-- Despite holding out six of their top seven runners, the Cobbers ran to a second-place finish at the Jimmie Invite in Jamestown, N.D. on Friday. Team winner Minot State scored 54 points, 15 points up on Concordia. Concordia’s depth proved critical in the race as the Cobber No.6 and No.7 runners finished ahead of the No.5 runner from UM-Morris and Jamestown. That helped to push their team scores. Morris and Jamestown wound up finishing third and fourth with 70 and 75 points respectively.

In his first race of the season, Adam Mousel (So, Northfield HS, MN), finished 10th overall to lead the Cobbers with a time of 27:55. “Today was the best race of Mousel’s career and a personal best by 42 seconds,” commented Coach Garrick Larson.
