NORTHFIELD, Minn. (9/18/10)-- Fans of the Concordia women's cross country team might be experiencing a serious case of déjà vu. That's because the Cobbers are using the same philosophy they did in 2009 to come up with positive results in 2010.

On Saturday Concordia used their pack-like mentality to finish sixth at the St. Olaf Invite. The Cobbers were the third-highest MIAC finisher at the meet and beat conference power Carleton as well as Macalester, St. Kate's and Augsburg.

Senior Kristy Singlestad led Concordia for the second straight meet. Singlestad ran a personal best time of 23:57 and finished in 23rd place. She was part of the CC pack that put four runners from 23rd to 39th. The Cobbers received a pair of solid performances from freshmen making their 6K debut. Morgan Christian finished in 24:21 and was 30th while Hannah Knickerbocker was only :09 seconds behind, ran a 24:30 and finished in 39th place. Caroline Mclaughlin was the other CC athlete in the top 40. She finished in 35th place and had a time of 24:27.

Next up for Concordia is the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul.
