Head Women's Basketball Coaching Position Opening Announced at Concordia Moorhead College
Head Coach of Women’s Basketball
The Position:
Full time non-tenure track faculty position which combines head coaching
in women’s basketball with additional teaching/administrative responsibilities.
Annual renewable contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as head coach of the Concordia College women’s basketball program
which competes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and
NCAA Division III. Responsibilities include organizing and administering
all phases of this program, as well as recruitment of student athletes
who seek excellence in the classroom and in athletics. Teaching and/or
administrative responsibilities will be assigned based on other qualifications
of the successful candidate.
Qualifications:
B.A. degree is required, Master’s preferred. Demonstrated ability
to coach and teach successfully at the high school or college level.
The successful candidate is expected to serve as a positive role model,
to work in harmony with departmental colleagues, and participate in the
life of the college outside of the department. In addition, candidates
are expected to present evidence of a sympathy with the goals of a church-related
(Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), liberal arts college.
Beginning Date: August 2000, or sooner if available.
