BLUE DEVILS TAKE IT ON THE CHIN FROM CONCORDIA-MOORHEAD
MENOMONIE - Concordia-Moorhead started off with a goal 30 seconds into the game and UW-Stout could not recover as the Cobbers handed Stout a 5-0 loss Saturday, Sept. 4 at the River Heights Field in Menomonie.
The Cobbers (1-0) scored three goals in the first 25 minutes of the half, then added two more within five minutes late in the game.
The shots were relatively even, with Concordia getting off 19, while Stout (0-2) got off 18. Stout's Jessica Sutherland(So, Duluth, Minn) had seven saves while Concordia's Kristen Hetland had 11 saves.
The physical game featured three yellow cards apiece for both teams and three red cards.
The Blue Devils will be at St. Mary's Wednesday, Sept. 8, then return
home Fri., Sept. 10 to host St. Thomas at 4:30 p.m. and Sun., Sept. 12
to host UW-Platteville at 1 p.m.
