MIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
November 2, 1999

St. Olaf defender Kerry Goldman (FY, GK, Plymouth, MN, Armstrong HS) had an outstanding week in helping the Oles finish the season on an upswing.  She helped hold Carleton to only one goal and shut out Birungi Metubi (a scoring leader for the conference) for the game.  Kerry also marked Macalester's Holly Harris in a 1-0 loss to the conference champs and defending national champs.

MIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
October 26, 1999

St. Benedict goal keeper Lisa Grefe (Sr. GK, Des Moines, IA)  led the Blazers to two victories on the road this past week. She had four saves in a double overtime shutout victory over Southwestern University (TX). It was her seventh shutout of the season. She then had five saves in a 2-1 Blazer win at Gustavus in windy conditions.

MIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
October 19, 1999

Macalester's All-American midfielder Kate Ryan-Reiling  (Sr., MF, St. Paul, MN / Cretin-Derham Hall H.S.) scored the game's only goal 18 minutes into the match in Macalester's 1-0 MIAC win Wednesday over St. Thomas and then was named Offensive MVP of the Emory University Tournament over the weekend. Ryan-Reiling opened the scoring at the 16 minute mark Saturday in a 3-1 win over No. 10 Emory. On Sunday against No. 1 ranked College of New Jersey she forced overtime by scoring a goal with just 1:08 left in regulation. New Jersey went on to win 2-1 in double overtime. She's scored a goal in five straight games and has 11 on the season for the 13-2 Scots.

MIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
October 12, 1999

St. Benedict's Krista Beggin (Soph., Forward, Arden Hills, Irondale H.S.) had two goals and two assists in the Blazers' three conference victories last week. She scored a goal and an assist against Hamline, then got the first goal in St. Ben's 2-1 O.T. win over St. Mary's; and she ended the week with an assist in CSB's 2-0 win over St. Olaf.

MIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
October 5, 1999

Macalester's senior forward Holly Harris (Redondo Beach, CA / Torrance South) led the Scots to a pair of important wins last week as Macalester improved to 9-1 on the season. Harris scored the game's only goal late in the second half to lift Macalester past Carleton on Wednesday 1-0. That gave Macalster its 26th straight MIAC win - tying the all-time mark set by Gustavus (1992-95). Harris assisted on the game's first goal and scored one herself five minutes later - her 10th of the season - in Friday's 3-0 victory over No. 4 ranked Wheaton (Ill.).

MIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
September 28, 1999

Carleton's Morgan Russell-Dempsey (So./Midfield/Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) scored three goals and one assist in two MIAC games last week. She scored both of Carleton's goals in a key 2-0 win over St. Benedict, and also added a goal and an assist in the Knights' 5-0 MIAC- opening win over Hamline. For the year, Russell-Dempsey has six goals and three assists.

MIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
September 21, 1999

Concordia's Kendra Lee (Forward, First year, Jamestown, ND) had 6 goals and two assists last week as Concordia won two games and improved to 5-0 on the season. Lee tied a school record with 5 goals in the Cobbers' 11-1 win over St. Scholastica Sept. 12. She scored the first goal and added an assist in Concordia's 3-0 win over UM-Crookston on Sept. 18. For the year Lee has 12 goals and 8 assists in 5 games.
