9/16 Concordia Beats St. Scholastica and Wins Concordia Invitational.
Concordia used a balanced attack to score early and beat St. Scolastica 5-0.  The Cobbers received two goals from Jordi Kortan (Sr., Moorhead MN, Moorhead) in the first half and Kendra Lee (Jamestown ND, Jamestown) in the second half to claim the championship of the Concordia Invitational. Concordia scored twice in the opening 12 minutes to keep the Saints on their heels, and goalkeeper Kathy Braun (Jr., Willmar MN, Willmar) made six saves to record her fourth shutout of the year. Concordia improves to 5-1 on the year and will open conference play on Sunday at Gustavus at 1:00.
