9/24 Concordia Drops MIAC Opener.
Concordia started slow and was punished, as Gustavus scored two first half goals to beat the Cobbers 2-0. Concordia had two chances early but couldn't finish and the Gusties capitalized on their opportunities at the 12 minute mark and then just 9 minutes before halftime. Concordia keeper Kathy Braun (Jr., Willmar MN) made four saves on the day, several from close range as the Cobbers fell to 5-2 overall and 0-1 in the MIAC. Concordia travels to St. Paul on Wednesday to take on St. Thomas at 4:00.
