Kristen Orme Jr. Mendota Heights, Minn. Scored Concordia's first goal of the year in the Cobbers 2-0 victory over Northland Baptist Bible College.

Concordia blanked Northland Baptist Bible College 2-0 in a non-conference game at St. John's University. Junior defender Kristin Orme's (Mendota Heights, Minn.) penalty kick at 68:31 gave Concordia a 1-0 lead and the only score they would need, as the Cobber defense limited the Pioneers to only three shots on net in posting first victory of the year. Meghan Hansen (Jr., Eagan, Minn.) banged home a cross from Kendra Lee (Jr., Jamestown, N. Dak.) to give Concordia the final margin of victory. Senior goaltender Kathy Braun made three saves to pick up her first shutout of the season.

The Cobbers outshot Northland Baptist 17-6 for the game and held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. Concordia plays Northland College tomorrow at noon in the final game of the St. John's tournament.
