Jake Christiansen coached the 1947 football team to a 3 - 4 record, and 1 - 4 in the MIAC for seventh place. Team captains were Charlie Beck and Mike Johnson.

Members of the squad included Jack Nystul, Earl Lee, Art Vraa, Ed Anderson, Bob Bain, Chuck Melberg, John Saul, Herman Radig, Ish Swanson, Bob Salveson, Hollis Heimark, Bill Bates, Gil Idso, Paul Johnson, Chuck Reed, Sonny Gulsvig, Clark Ringham, Dick Stromme, Jens Bale, Alden Hvidston, Phil Seljevold, Jack Mueller, Evan Salveson, Bruce Anderson, Harold Bale, Jack Gilbertson, Waldo Jerde, Finn Grinaker, Vernon Anderson, Chuck Feste, Porky Thompson, Eugene Lee, Roland Stenerson, Paul Waldon, Robert Larson, Herman Meier and Howard Dale.

Coach Jake Christiansen's 1947-1948 basketball season had a 9 - 13 overall record and finished seventh in the MIAC with a 3 - 11 record. On the roster were Captain Finn Grinaker, Charlie Beck, Luther Hegland, Sonny Gulsvig, Carl Zander, Bob Sellberg, Bill Mattke, Wayne Thorson, Bob Peterson, Paul Fedje, Elwood Bohn, Dorlan Lybeck and Robert Strand.

Coach Bill Mattke led the 1948 baseball team to the most successful season in post-war years finishing with a 7 - 4 record. Squad members included Derkes, Teigen, Mattke, Swanson, Johnson, Oien, Stromme, Gulsvig, Sather, Semingson, Fedje, Hanson, Eidsmoe, Basch and Garnaas

The track and field squad had a successful season under Coach Irv Christenson. The team entered four meets and the future of track and field looked bright. Lettermen included Ivan Camrud, low hurdler who took first in the Concordia-NDAC-UND triangular held at Grand Forks; Bob Peterson, Byron Anderson, John Helm, Dave Simonson, Bert Tveit and Duane Bjerke. Other team members were Herman Radig, Phil Franze, Vernon Skare, Hilmo, Anderson and Strand.

The 1948 golf team consisted of Al Billingham, Howard Casmey, Arland Elton, Finn Grinaker and Jim Tollefson. Professor Holvik coached the team that dropped early matches to MSTC and NDAC. In return matches they defeated the Dragons 10 1/4 to 1/4 and edged NDAC in a close match. The team was entered in the MIAC meet to conclude the season.

Don Pederson, Luther Hegland, Bud Jenson, Dick Narum and Tenner Thompson represented Concordia in tennis. With Don Pederson leading the way the Cobbers defeated NDAC, MSTC and Jamestown College. In the MIAC meet the team was eliminated in an early round.
