Troy Odegaard is in his second season as head men's golf coach and his first year at the helm of the women's team. In the 2002-03 season, his first full season as men's head coach, he helped the Cobbers to a fourth place finish in the MIAC only five strokes from claiming the championship. It was the closest that a Concordia team has ever come to winning the MIAC crown.
Odegaard came to Concordia after serving as the boy's assistant varsity coach basketball coach at Lincoln Southeast High school in Lincoln, NE in 2000-01. Prior to coaching at Southeast High he was an assistant coach for the men'steam at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln from 1997-1999. He was part of the coaching staff who led the Cornhuskers to an NCAA tournament appearance in 1998 and the NIT tournament in 1999. Odegaard was also a graduate assistant and assistant coach for the South Dakota State men's team from 1995 - 1997. He received his undergraduate degree from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD in 1986 and his Master's degree from SDSU in Brookings, SD.
In addition to his duties with the men's golf team Troy serves as assistant men's basketball coach and also teaches in the Physical Education department.
Troy lives in West Fargo with his wife Julie and children Aubrie, Jacoby and Mercede.
