5/27 Joe Schmidgall finishes 14th in the High Jump at NCAA National Meet.
Concordia's Joe Schmidgall (So., Morris) finished 14th in the High Jump at the NCAA National Meet. His jump of 6' 4 3/4" was 4 inches short of the All-American mark. 

5/26 Adam Strainer finishes 6th in the Decathlon at the NCAA National Meet. Earns All-American Honors.
Concordia's Adam Strainer (Jr., Helena, MT) finished 6th in the Decathlon at the NCAA National Meet. His score of 6,486 points was the second highest point total in school history, second only to his own school record performance at the MIAC Decathlon. 

5/25/00 Micah Benson receives GTE Academic All-District honors for 2nd year in a row.

5/25 Adam Strainer is 10th after 5 events in the Decathlon at the NCAA National Meet.

5/22 Concordia qualifies 4 athletes for the NCAA National Meet.
Representing Concordia at the NCAA Division III track meet will be: Micah Benson (Sr., Moorhead) in the Long Jump, Adam Strainer (Jr., Helena, MT) in the Decathlon, Joe Schmidgall (So., Morris) in the High Jump and Chris Goebel (Jr., Albany) in the 1500 Meter Run.

Concordia's Chris Goebel (Jr., Albany) provisionally qualifies for Nationals by running the 2nd fastest time in the 1500 meters in school history. His time of 3:54.76 is only 14/100 off the school record.

5/13 Cobbers finish second at MIAC Outdoor Championships.
The second place finish is the highest since 1975. 
Concordia's Micah Benson successfully defended his Long Jump title and the team held on to finish in second place, the highest team finish since 1975. Cobber highlights included Joe Schmidgall's school record in the High  Jump - 6'9", which was good for second place, and Joel  Nelson's second place finishes in the Shot Put and the Hammer Throw. His distance of 171'11" in the Hammer Throw is a NCAA national provisional qualifying mark. The other Cobber All-MIAC performers were Brian Kesselring and Adam Strainer in the Triple Jump.

5/12 Cobbers lead after first day of MIAC Outdoor Championships.
Concordia's Micah Benson successfully defended his Long Jump title, with a jump of  23' 4 3/4", and the team amassed a fourteen point lead going into the last day of competition.
