6/20/00 Micah Benson named GTE Academic All-American.
Concordia's Micah Benson, a senior from Moorhead, has been named to
the prestigious first team GTE Academic All-America Team for the second
consecutive year.
5/25/00 Micah Benson receives GTE Academic All-District honors
for 2nd year in a row.
Concordia's Micah Benson (Sr., Moorhead) has been awarded GTE Academic
All District Honors. Benson was named to the District V College Division
GTE Academic All District team for the second year in a row. Benson has
a 3.86 GPA in Biology.

Academic All-American
Concordia's Micah Benson, a junior from Moorhead, has been named to
the prestigious first team GTE Academic All-America Team. He was
the only junior named to
the first team.
Outstanding Career Highlights
Academic All-MIAC in 1997 and 1998. USTCA All-Academic 1998 Outdoor.
Named Track Captain for 1999-00. 1998 Outdoor champion in long jump with
22-7, scored in four other events. Set school record in long jump in May
1998 with 23' 6 1/2" and finished 14th in long jump at NCAA Nationals.
Played on MIAC Champion soccer team in 1996 and played in NCAA National
Soccer tournament in 1996 and 1997. Finished 6th in assists in MIAC as
starting poiint guard for basketball in 1997-98.
5/25/99 Micah Benson receives GTE Academic All-District honors.
Two Concordia Track Athletes have been awarded GTE Academic ALL District
Honors. Senior Laura
Utke (Oriska, ND, Oak Grove H.S) and junior Micah Benson
(Moorhead) were named to the District IV College Division GTE Academic
ALL District teams. Utke carries a 3.85 GPA in Physical Education and Psychology.
Benson has a 3.91 GPA in Biology.
5/6/99 Named Academic All-MIAC Today
5/8/99 Micah Benson led the Cobbers at the MIAC Outdoor Championship @ St. John's with wins in the High Jump (6-6 3/4) and theLongJump (28-8 1/2).
5/21/98 Micah Benson finished 14th in the NCAA long jump with a leap of 22-5 1/4.
5/14/98 Last Chance Qualifier @ North Dakota State Micah Benson set a school record of 23-6 1/2 in the long jump and qualified for NCAA Nationals.
5/13/98 Named Academic all-MIAC
5/9/98 Micah Benson led the Cobbers in scoring at the MIACMeet. Micah won the long jump (22-7 1/4) placed 4th in the high jump (6-4 3/4), ran on a 4x100 relay that took second, and placed 6th in the 400 meter run (49.49).
5/10/97 Placed 5th in the long jump at the MIAC Outdoor Championships.
