3/3/98 Leah Sonstelie (Sr., Forward, 6-0 , Fosston, Minn.) was named today to the MIAC all conference team and Sara Spears (Fr., Forward, 5-11, Spicer, Minn.) was named to the All-First Year Student Team. See all the All-MIAC Awards voted on by the MIAC women's basketball coaches and announced today.
Sonstelie led the Cobbers in scoring (13.7 ppg) and was second in rebounding (6.3 rpg). She ended her career with 1061 points, 11th best in Cobber history, and 543 rebounds, also 11th best in Cobber history.
Spears, a starting forward, led the Cobbers in rebounding with 7.3 per game and was also the Cobbers' second-leading scorer with 10.3 ppg.

Cobbers ended 17-5 and 3rd in MIAC , 19-6 overall.
Leah Sonstelie led the Cobbers with 19
points, ending her final season with 1061 career points, 11th
best in Cobber history. She also had 5 rebounds, bringing her career
total to 543, also 11th best in Cobber history.

Feb. 25, Cobbers (16-5, 18-6) Win 68-58
at St.
Mary's (8-13, 9-15) in Winona. Concordia came back from a 35-30 deficit
early in the second half to get their 18th win of the year. Brandi
Myers led the Cobber comeback with 18 points, 16 in the second
half. Leah Sonstelie led the Cobbers in scoring
with 19 points.

Feb. 24: Leah Sonstelie Named MIAC Player
of the Week
Concordia post Leah Sonstelie , a senior from Fosston, Minn.,
sparked the Cobbers to a pair of road wins with 16-of-16 free-throw shooting
and 38 points last week. Sonstelie became the 15th Cobber to go over 1,000
points in a 66-63 win at Augsburg.
Feb. 21: Cobbers rally to beat Bethel
64-61 at Bethel
Concordia rallied from 8 down with 4 minutes to go to post a
64-61 win this afternoon at Bethel. Concordia was led by Leah

2/20 Concordian Story
Feb. 18: Cobbers (14-5, 16-6) win 66-63 at Augsburg (4-14,
6-16)
Leah Sonstelie scored 18 points to become
the 15th Cobber to surpass 1000 career points.
But it took last minute heroics by sophomore Nikki
Vetter to pull out the win. Vetter hit 2 three-pointers in the last
minute to wipe out a 59-58 Auggie lead. Sonstelie now has 1003 career points.
