Kathy Wall became the Concordia women's basketball head coach in the fall of 1995. In that 1995-96 season, Wall guided the Cobbers to a 20-6 record, leading the Cobbers to their 14th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. In 1996-97 the Cobbers posted an 18-7 record and went 19-6 in 1997-98, the program's 16th and 17th consecutive top-3 finishs in the MIAC.
Kathy was a student-athlete at Concordia before graduating in May of 1993 with Cum Laude honors, earning a B.A. in Physical Education and Health. She returned to Concordia in the fall of 1995 after completing a Master's degree program in Athletic Administration at North Dakota State University.
Kathy started her coaching career as a student assistant coach under coach Bob Kohler in 1992-93. She went on to North Dakota State University from 1993-95 where she was the graduate assistant women's coach for the Division II National Champion Bison.
In addition to her basketball duties at Concordia, Kathy is an instructor in the Physical Education Department, senior women's administrator, and advisor to the Student Athlete's Council .

Steve Gravalin joined the Cobber staff in 1996 after a seven year stint at Fargo South High School, where he led the Bruin women to a state title in 1985, and runner-up in 1986. He was also named Coach of the Year in '85. Gavalin then moved on to NDSU were he was the assistant men's basketball coach for three years under Erv Inniger. After NDSU he became the assistant at Shanley High School under Tim Jacobson for two years. He currently is a teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School. He and his wife Deb have three sons, Shawn, Ryan, and Justin. They reside in Moorhead.
