Consistent Cobbers Settle For Sixth at St. Ben's Invite.

SAUK CENTRE-- Concordia posted identical team scores of 385 and finished sixth at the St. Ben's Invitational held at Greystone Golf Club in Sauk Centre, Minn. The Cobbers started the final day in fifth place but were passed by conference foe Augsburg after the Auggies shot a final round score of 361. St. Ben's won the tournament with a final team total of 695 (346-349).

For the sixth straight tournament of the season, Concordia was led by Katy Stevens (Sr., Colstrip, Mont./Colstrip HS). Stevens struggled in the second day of competition and finished at 181 (86-95). She started the final round in fifth place, but fell out of the top 10 when she couldn't keep her ball out of the hazard.(More)

Cobbers Swelter in the Heat of the Dragon Invitational.

MOORHEAD-- Concordia finished second at the heat pasteurized, wind-swept Dragon Invitational on Sunday. The Cobbers, battling 90 degree temperatures and winds that gusted to 30mph, shot a two-day total of 761 (386-351) to finish 37 strokes behind meet champion the University of Manitoba.

Katy Stevens (Sr., Colstrip, Mont./Colstrip HS) braved the elements to finish fifth in the individual race. Stevens fired a 181 (96-85) and was done in by a slow start on Saturday. The meet marks the third consecutive event that Stevens has led the Cobbers in scoring.(More

Cobbers Continue to Improve and Finish 10th at the Concordia Invite!
Team Results - Top 20 Individuals - Individual Team Results
(DETROIT LAKES)-- Concordia saved their best overall team performance for the third and final day of the Cobber golf tournaments and shot a season-best 340 to finish 12th at the Concordia Invitational. The Cobbers jumped into a tie with conference foe Carleton, jumping two team places to catch the Knights. Katy Stevens (Sr., Colstrip, Mont./Colstrip HS) ignited the Cobber charge by firing a second-round 79. She finished in a tie for ninth place. 

The University of North Dakota climbed over the top of St. Ben's and rival North Dakota State to claim the team title. The Fighting Sioux, locked in third place after the first day, shot a tournament-best 325 to win the team crown by two strokes. Their final total of 654 edged MSU-Mankato, who shot a final round 325 and jumped from a tie for fourth all the way to second. Southwest State University finished third with a two-day total of 663. That was one shot better than North Dakota State, who ballooned to a 338 in the final round and finished at 664.(More

Cobbers Show Inexperience, Slide to Ninth at Cobber Open.

(DETROIT LAKES)--Concordia had five players playing in their first collegiate golf tournament and it showed, as the Cobbers struggled to post low scores and slid all the way to ninth place at the Cobber Open held at Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes, Minn. 

The University of North Dakota claimed the team title in a closely contested championship. The Fighting Sioux tied with St. Ben's at 328 but won the crown on the strength of the score of their fifth golfer. The top four teams in the tournament were only separated by a mere four strokes. Jennifer Orcutt from UM-Crookston walked away with medalist honors. The senior shot a four over par 76 and claimed the top spot by three shots.(More)
