That was 32 behind St. Ben's, who claimed the team championship with 20 points.

Natalie Hanson (Rogers, Minn./Elk River Area HS) made an early bid to become the top Cobber runner in 2004. She finished the 5,000 meter course in 20:59 and placed a solid sixth in the individual standings. Hanson tracked down a runner from Concordia-St. Paul at the wire to vault to her sixth-place finish. Jennifer St. John (Sr., Billings, Mont./Billings West HS) supplied a pleasant surprise for head coach Marv Roeske in the opening meet of the year. St. John, free from the nagging injuries that bothered her in 2003, ran a 21:08 and placed 10th.(More)
