ST. PAUL, Minn. (1/22/10)-- Concordia finished off the dual-meet portion of their schedule by falling 138-103 to St. Kate's in  St. Paul on Friday. The Cobbers finish the year with a 3-6 mark in dual meets.

Concordia had a pair of swimming event wins, a diving event win and several other top three finishes as they start to prepare for the MIAC Meet at the end of February. Sarah Ament and Katie Coleman turned in the event wins for the swimming crew and Lauren Trudeau continued her stellar senior season by winning another dual-meet diving competition.

Ament clocked an 11:58. 90 in the 1000-yard freestyle and was part of a 1-2-3 finish for CC in the event. Paige Scarborough was second (12:02.08) and Aleina Weisz finished third (12:04.29). Coleman won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:35.20. Trudeau was part of the Cobber diving corps that placed first, second, fourth and fifth in the 3-meter competition and second, third, fourth and fifth in the 1-meter event. Trudeau scored 240.60 points in the 3-meter event to earn her sixth win in a dual meet. She also placed fourth in the 1-meter portion against the Wildcats. Amy Glubzinski was second in both diving events. She posted a mark of 212.70 in the 1-meter and 226.85 in the 3-meter.

Other top three finishes at the meet included Mackenzie Koeck in the 200-yard freestyle (3rd - 2:17.18), Amanda Suchanek in the 50-yard freestyle (2nd - 26.62) and 100-yard freestyle (2nd- 58:63), Lindsay Mitlyng in the 200-yard individual medley (2:33.51), Weisz in the 100-yard freestyle (3rd - 59.53), Stacie Fossum in the 100-yard backstroke (3rd - 1:09.89) and Jessica Obrecht in the 100-yard breaststroke (2nd - 1:18.33).

The Cobbers will stay in St. Paul and compete at the St. Kate's Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 23 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
