MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/15/10)-- Concordia was one of eight MIAC women's swimming and diving teams to earn the College Swimming Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team designation for the fall semester.

The Cobbers have a team grade point average of 3.33 and were the fourth highest rank MIAC team. Other conference schools earning the award were St. Catherine University, who is coached by Nicole Hempler, and had a team GPA of 3.45, Carleton College (3.39 Team GPA, Coach Andrew Clark), College of Saint Benedict (3.38 GPA, Kathy Walker), University of St. Thomas (3.31 GPA, Tom Hodgson), Macalester College (3.29 GPA, Bob Pearon), Gustavus Adolphus College (3.28 GPA, Jon Carlson), and Hamline University (3.06 GPA, Frank Vaccaro).

In order to be eligible for the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team award, schools must have a GPA of 3.0 or better (or the equivalent converted) on a 4.00 scale for the semester. All athletes who competed in any competition for the team must be included and only athletes who appear on the NCAA squad list during the semester are eligible.
