MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/18/10)-- Concordia junior Erica Nord (Jr., Wolverton, Minn./Barnesville HS) was named to the D3hoops.com West All-Region Team it was announced today. Nord earned All-Region Third Team honors and was one of six players from the MIAC to be named to the All-Region Team.

The award comes two weeks after Nord was named to the MIAC All-Conference Team and was placed on the MIAC All-Defensive Team. It is the first time she has earned All-Region honors.

Nord led the Cobbers in scoring, assists, steals and 3-point field percentage and was second on the team in rebounding. She finished the year by averaging 13.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.15 assists and 2.54 steals in the team's 26 overall games.

Nord had career-high season totals in points, rebounds and assists in 2009-10 and now has 683 points, 298 assists and 198 steals in her three seasons at Concordia.

Nord scored in double figures in all but six games this season. She had at least 20 points in four games and had a season-high 25 points against Augsburg on Feb. 3. Nord collected at least five rebounds in 14 games and her highwater mark came in the opening game of the year when she hauled down 13 boards against St. Scholastica. Her biggest game of the year came against St. Thomas when she nearly collected the first recorded triple-double in program history. Nord finished the contest against the Tommies with 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

In conference play she averaged 15.2 points and 4.2 assists per game. She also had 57 steals in the 22 league games. Nord was also second on the team in rebounding for the season. She finished fifth in the league in scoring in MIAC games and was third in assists and steals. She was also eighth in field goal percentage (47.3%), seventh in 3-point field goal percentage (40.0%) and sixth in assists-to-turnover ratio (1.75).

Nord was named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Team earlier in the season and was named the MIAC Player of the Week on Jan. 25.
